Hope there's room in the neighborhood

Imitation is said to be the sincerest form of flattery. In the writing world, they call it plagiarism. In thinking how to get moving on those book projects, with absolutely no experience behind me, I began rearranging my life on blogspot and searching about for inspiration. I found it in Rachel Brady's Write It Anyway: My blog is living out of boxes.

Since I've been viewing lots of blogs, I was in a hurry when I found hers, so I didn't
delve too deeply. But, it seems to be meant for people like me, with the subtitle, "For new writers trying to fit it all in." New writer? Yep. That's me. Having started a blog before, I decided to go back to her first post. God, to be that clever!

Not being so, here's my squeaky little entrance to one corner of the blogosphere. My nose is barely out the hole, and my whiskers are twitching... Oh man! Somebody already wrote that monster best-seller. So back in the hole for another metaphor, eh.

I hope to meet some interesting people and learn some valuable things on my way to publication.

  1. Jack, my heart goes pitter patter reading this. Thank you for these nice words!

We're all in it together. It's tough to find the time to write when real life looms large. Hopefully some of my posts will demystify a little of what goes on behind the scenes and things you might expect as your journey furthers.

    Welcome aboard.
